Default Quiet Time To Focus

QUIET TIME TO FOCUS

It’s hard enough to focus in this world with all the distractions that come at us. At home, at work, while driving and even the distractions in our minds. Satan uses the distractions to keep us from doing God’s work. He uses them to make us tired or frustrated. He uses them to get annoyed and angry with those who are distracting us. When we learn to take time to sit quietly before God in the midst of distractions, God will help us avoid the temptation to do wrong and help us to continue to do right.

Ephesians 4:23 “Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we get distracted so many times during the day. Help us to better handle these distractions. Help us to remember You during these distractions. We rebuke the devil in Jesus’ name when he attempts to distract us. We know You will help us to stay focused on You so we can move through the distractions more easily and stay focused on the tasks You have put before us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Planning ahead for distractions will help us to better handle them when we are tempted to turn away from doing God’s work.

We can better stay focused in the midst of distractions when we have Scripture to memorize and keep us centered on God.

When we practice quiet time with God every day, we will be better able to be still and focus on Him when we are tempted by distractions.

We can better stay focused in the midst of distractions when we have practiced quiet time with God.

We need to do whatever we can to remove distractions so we can better serve God. Quiet time with Him will help with this.

1 Corinthians 7:35b “I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few distractions as possible.” (NLT)

Focus: Let the Holy Spirit renew you every day and in the midst of distractions so you can stay focused on doing right.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
