Precious Promises – Day 20 by SGLY Ministry

Today’s Promise: OBEDIENCE
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”(Words of Jesus)
Matthew 7:24,25 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:
This Promise of security and safety amidst life’s storms, is to the wise, who are everyone who hear and obey the Word of the Lord. It is for those who seek to build their lives on the solid foundation of Christ, the Rock.
“For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:4

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust. 2 Samuel 22:2,3 (NKJV)

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, I want to live in obedience and claim this rich promise today !
As I hear Your words I want to put them into practice.
I want to be like that wise man who built his house on the rock.
I want to build my life on Your firm foundation so when troubles come I will be able to stand strong and be safe.
Lord, help me to always focus on You and Your word so I can be obedient and claim Your promises daily.
Thank You Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Genesis 9:13 'I have placed My rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of My covenant with you and with all the earth.'

- The Lord is faithful in all His promises to us.
- He placed a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His covenant with Noah.
- This sign is also a reminder to us that the Lord will be faithful.
- Expect His faithfulness, believe in His faithfulness and rest in His faithfulness.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You that You are a faithful, covenant keeping God. I choose to remind myself of Your faithful character on which I can depend. Amen.

Kind Regards
Pastor Andrew & Vanessa Roebert

Today’s Scripture: “Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” (Luke 6:28, NIV)

Hold On to Your Peace

I’ve learned that in life, some people are peace stealers. They feel like it’s their calling to aggravate you, try to make you look bad, and tell you what you can’t do. They’ll try to bait you into an argument to get you upset, annoyed and frustrated. But don’t take the bait! Nothing is worth losing your peace over. They may think they’re getting the best of you, but in the end, God can use that to take you higher. When people come against you, choose to keep your peace. Choose to forgive. Pray for that person because that’s how you disarm the enemy against you.

Scripture says your battle isn’t against flesh and blood. In others words, that person isn’t your enemy; the accuser—Satan—is your enemy. He’s trying to bring division and get you upset. But when you choose to keep peace, when you keep walking in love and keep a smile on your face, you are overcoming his tactics. That’s how you win. Today, choose peace, choose to walk in love, and choose the victory God has prepared for you!

A Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You for giving me Your peace and strength today. I choose to hold my peace and bless those who come against me. I choose to walk in love and forgiveness so that I can honor You in all that I do in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Joel Osteen

Attitude Is Everything by Joyce Meyer

Through Him, therefore, let us at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name. — Hebrews 13:15

Some of the challenges we face in life may be very difficult ones, but God never allows more to come upon us than we can bear. In fact, with every temptation, He always provides a way out.

The Scripture above not only says He provides a way out, but it also says He gives us the strength to bear up under trials with patience. That means we can go through them with a good attitude! Maintaining a good attitude in the midst of something unpleasant is the key to victory, and it enables us to enjoy the journey.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for the strength to deal with my current circumstances. Help me today to see my life with a new perspective. Help me to choose a positive attitude and see things with the “eye of faith.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Welcome to Verse of the Day!

Today's Bible Verse: Song of Solomon 2:11-12 ... for behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. (ESV)

Today's Inspiring Thought: Winter Is Past

Have you just come out of a long, cold winter? Is your heart filled with hope today? Do you feel like a long, dreary season of rain has finally ended and flowers are beginning to bloom in your life again? Well, then, sing for joy to the Lord! Don't dwell on your past mistakes, except to guard in your heart what you can learn from them.

God has given you a fresh new start this day! Go forward with courage, faith, and praise.Welcome to Verse of the Day!

Set a Goal to Enjoy Every Part of Your Day

Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety. Psalm 16:9

There are dozens of things that happen during ordinary, everyday life, and we can enjoy them all if we just make a decision to do it.

Things like getting dressed, driving to work, going to the grocery store, running errands, keeping things organized, sending e?mails, taking the kids to practice, and hundreds of other things.

After all, they are the things that life is made up of. Begin doing them with an attitude of gratitude and realize that, through the Holy Spirit, you can enjoy absolutely everything you do every day of your life.

Joy doesn’t come merely from being entertained, but from a decision to appreciate each moment that you are given as a rare and precious gift from God.

Prayer of Thanks Father, thank You for the gift of life, and thank You for every activity that comes with that gift. I pray that You will help me find joy in each part of my day as I live for You. I thank You that I can choose to enjoy even the average, routine parts of my day.

From the book The Power of Being Thankful by Joyce Meyer.
