A friend who took me to my first meeting told me, 'God doesn't make no junk.' She was trying to affirm me and tell me that I was worthy of recovery. it has stayed with me for the last 27 years. After I had gone though treatment, I walked into a morning meeting and she was there. She said, "I am so glad you lived long enough to get help.'' She convinced me that God doesn't make no junk.
