Had a lot of anger issues. A lot was suppressed because I didn't know how to process it. When things happened in today, I had to realize that it was often a trigger with a string attached to something from the past.

Those unspoken words can fester and grow into rage. I had to do meditation and prayer and ask my God to take it from me. To enlighten me, allow me to be aware, so that I could take measures in today to let it go. They say, "Unless you feel it, you can't let it go."

We often say, "How important is it?" Anger is one letter "D" away from danger to my recovery. How often I picked up to show others and drank to their health and ignored mine. In order to recovery, I had to take my focus off of what was and deal with things, in today as they come up.

My focus has to be today, yet when things from my past come up, I have the tools of the program to apply to what ever comes up. Focus on what I have and not on what I don't have. Focus on what is, not what could have been.
