Connected
We all come to this world with a connection of some kind to that that brought us here. This will stay with some from their birth until their death. Without exception those of us with addiction lose that connection, without it our life becomes impossibly difficult. I remember the moment I severed that connection. I felt a slight and bleak feeling of being foolish, but went ahead and lived without it for 10 years. Recovery allows us to restore that connection though it's never quite the same as it was before, it still allows for us to have the good life that one gets from having this connection. By having it again we no longer live in a hostile world. Without having to have all the answers, life makes sense again. And most importantly is a feeling of being cared for and a protection that comes from having it once again. These are the things you'll not want to miss and happen for all who make use of our program of recovery.
