Wait For It
The thing about our recovery that can be difficult about it is having to wait for it to happen. This takes time, sometimes it will seem like it's taking forever, but it will always be worth waiting for. One of the best things we can do while we're new to recovery, and wanting for it all to happen at once, is to become very active with others in the program. Especially those who can show us how it was worth it to them to wait for it to happen. Another thing is to remember we only have to go through this once, and the more that we try to enjoy the waiting the better we'll remember it. Besides, if we stick close to the program during this time, when we look back we'll see that some of the craziest things often happen during that time we're waiting for recovery to happen. These will become some of our fondest memories in time.
