Default Just For Today –Day 2 – Putting Off Bitterness

Just For Today –Day 2 – Putting Off Bitterness by SGLY Ministry

Just for Today I will put off all…BITTERNESS
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.Ephesians 4:31 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:
Sharp tongues, bitter words, bitter roots of unbelief, these are all things scripture tells us as believers we need to put off in our lives. Bitterness is as poison and it will destroy our lives and those with whom we interact. Let’s determine, Just for Today, to put off all Bitterness in our lives.

Look after each other so that none of you will miss out on the special favor of God.
Watch out that no bitter root of unbelief rises up among you, for whenever it springs up, many are corrupted by its poison. Hebrews 12:15 [NLT]

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, Just for Today, help me to put off all Bitterness.
Just for Today, may my words be pleasant instead of unpleasant, sweet instead of bitter, kind instead of sharp, encouraging instead of cynical. Just for Today, let my mouth honor You in all I say.
I pray that my mind, heart and mouth will all be focused on You today Lord, so that no root of bitterness may spring up in my life and cause me, and others I interact with to be poisoned with unbelief or trouble.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
