Seek Understanding

SEEK UNDERSTANDING

When we have understanding, we use good judgment and exercise wisdom. When we seek understanding, we will find it in God’s word. He can give us the understanding we need to live our lives according to His will. When we follow Him, He will help us to better understand the ups and downs in life. And He will help us understand how to best comfort others in times of need. When we seek understanding from God, He will help us develop good judgment.

Proverbs 4:7 “Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we come to You today to seek understanding. We pray for both wisdom and understanding so we can make better choices in life. We pray for both wisdom and understanding so we can exercise good judgment. We pray for both wisdom and understanding so we can help others in need. Help us to remain in Your word, Lord, so we continually seek both wisdom and understanding to do Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we seek understanding from God, we need to search for it in His word.

God wants us to both understand and to be understanding. He wants us to develop good judgment so we can make wise decisions.

When we seek God in all we do and choose to obey Him, He will give us understanding and good judgment.

God wants to speak to us all day long and give us the understanding we need to do His will. We can hear Him when we are willing to listen.

When we seek God’s word and His will, He will give us wisdom and understanding.

Proverbs 4:5 “Get wisdom; develop good judgment. Don’t forget my words or turn away from them.” (NLT)

Focus: Seek understanding from God today by reading and meditating on His word.
