Default Cleansing Frees Us

CLEANSING FREES US

We speak about freedom a lot in this world. We have many freedoms to do, say and live as we want. However, being free and having freedom is two different things. Freedom is the act to do what we want. Being truly free means we have no burdens, no worries and no pain. When we are truly free, we will have been washed by the blood of the Lamb and cleansed from all filth in this world. It isn’t a one-time experience and done. It is an everyday choice in who we choose to serve. If we choose to serve man or this world, we won’t be free. If we choose God, He will free us from our sin and give us joy like no other.

SCRIPTURE:
Romans 3:23-24 “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. List some freedoms you have.
2. Write down how you can truly be free.
3. Ask God to forgive you of your sin.
4. Decide daily to choose Him to cleanse you from sin.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we know there is no one or no thing on this earth that can do what You can do. We know we have all messed up and failed in life, but we also know You are ready and willing to forgive us and make us right again. Thank You for Jesus who died for our sins so that we may live and be free. Thank You for Jesus who washed away the sin in our lives by His blood. Help us to live as we are called to live for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
No one else but God can cleanse us from our sin so we can be truly free.

When we go to God in prayer daily and seek out what we need to change in our lives to better live for Him, He will show us.

God wants us to live the life He planned for us when we were created. To know that plan and to live it out means we need a closer walk with Him.

Because of God’s grace, we are free!

Despite how many people attempt to have peace, feel free and have joy in this world, they will soon find out we can only get these things from God.

FOCUS:
Job 14:4 “Who can bring purity out of an impure person? No one!” (NLT)

No one but God can cleanse us and free us from our sin.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
