Default Strong In God's Word

STRONG IN GOD’S WORD

Developing strength takes time. We can’t to go to the gym and lift weights only one time and then be physically strong forever. We need a daily routine that builds the muscles in our bodies and strengthens us physically, over time. In order to be spiritually strong, we have to do the things God call us to do so we can grow in His word. God’s word allows us to be strong enough to resist temptation and fight evil. A daily routine in His word will fill our minds and hearts with His love and strengthen us spiritually.

1 John 2:14 “I have written to you who are God’s children because you know the Father. I have written to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I have written to you who are young in the faith because you are strong. God’s word lives in your hearts, and you have won your battle with the evil one.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for Your word. Your word brings goodness. Your word brings peace. Your word brings strength. We are nothing without You. We are weak but You are strong. Help us today to use Your word for protection and strength. Help us today to use Your word for guidance and direction. Help us today to use Your word to resist sin and lead others to You. Give us strength from Your word to do Your will all day long. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

In order to be spiritually strong, we have to commit to a daily routine of walking, talking, listening and obeying God.

Reading God’s word every day will create new and wonderful things in our lives.

We won’t know what all God has planned for us if we don’t study His word every day.

God’s word brings goodness, peace and strength. Let’s go to His word today to seek and know Him better.

God’s word gave Jesus the strength He needed to resist the devil. And His word can help us to do the same.

Matthew 4:10 “’Get out of here, Satan,’ Jesus told him. ‘For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the LORD your God and serve only him.’” (NLT)

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
