Where is God on the hard days?
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 A young man named Brian Hiess woke up one morning with a leak in his apartment ceiling. He got out of bed and found his feet squishing on wet carpet. He called the landlord, who told him to go rent a water vacuum. So he bounded outside, only to find all four tires on his car were flat. He went back inside, his apartment now ankle-deep in water. He reached for the phone again, but it shocked him so severely that it knocked him down. Then, he tried to leave the apartment, but the door had swelled and wouldn’t open. So he had to kick it down. After he got help, he got back to his apartment only to find the ceiling plaster had fallen and tipped over the cage of his prized canaries, killing them all. He ran across the carpet and fell, hurting his back so badly he had to be taken to the hospital. At the hospital, he was asked what happened. He answered, “Well, it looks like God was trying to kill me, but He kept missing!” Everyone has days when it seems like the deck is stacked against us. But the truth is that even on our worst days, God is for us. So instead of seeing God as the enemy in tough times, remember that He’s right there with you, cheering you on and empowering you toward living in victory! ON YOUR TOUGHEST DAYS, REMEMBER GOD IS RIGHT THERE WITH YOU, EMPOWERING AND CHEERING YOU ON TOWARD LIVING IN VICTORY. Jack Graham
