Default The Lord Almighty

God's Word For Today

The Lord Almighty

Read Jeremiah 51:1–64

What have you created lately from scratch? Perhaps you baked a cake or painted a picture. Perhaps your job description requires you to create new and better products or design more effective ways to use natural resources. Mankind’s ingenuity to come up with new ideas and to do what once seemed impossible is quite amazing. Stop and think of how things have changed since you were a child. The older you are, the more dramatic the changes you have witnessed.

It is easy to be impressed with what we or others have accomplished to the point that we forget all knowledge and wisdom come from God.

“He made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding” (Jeremiah 51:15).

No one and nothing can compare with the Lord. He created everything seen and unseen. He is the First and the Last, and He controls the destiny of nations and people. The Lord Almighty is His name.

Prayer Suggestion: Bow your knees in awe of God who invites you to have a personal relationship with Him.

Quicklook: Jeremiah 51:15–19

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
