Default Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength

Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

"Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10

As we close in on May, here comes a reminder to rejoice in the Lord.

Grieving makes one weak; rejoicing gives strength.

There may have been circumstances so far this year that made it seem impossible to rejoice at times; but His grace has been sufficient. If not for that we would have succumbed to our grief. That alone contributes as reason to rejoice in the Lord!

Today's Scripture also encourages us to share our blessings with the less fortunate among us - giving others a reason to rejoice in the Lord as well.

Let's repeat the Scripture again to let it sink in...

"Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."

Let us not be just hearers of the Word; but doers as well. (James1:22)

For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. Romans 2:13

Amen! Happy May 31st.

Coffee with Jesus

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
