In the fellowship of AA, I was told to pray for the person every day for two weeks. They don't always get better, but I do. My sponsor said, "Pray that they get everything that you wish for yourself, like health, happiness, prosperity. Pray that they receive a spiritual enlightenment so they can't continue acting out in their dis-ease.
