Suffer Together
SUFFER TOGETHER
Recently I had a health issue and being the healthy person I am, I was very concerned. However, there was not a moment during that time I was alone. I knew, without a doubt, Jesus was watching over me. Also, many friends and family members were also with me. Some right by my side and some in thoughts and prayer. While my suffering was due to health issues, there is another kind of suffering and that is suffering as a believer. We may suffer as believers in this world but we can know Jesus is protecting us and others are with us in both body and mind. Philippians 1:29-30a For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him. We are in this fight together. (NLT) Dear Lord, thank You for Your protection and peace when we are suffering. Whether it be physical or mental suffering, we know we can count on You to help us. We know You are with us in the midst of suffering. We also thank You for those who pray for us. We thank You for those who care for us. It gives us a great sense of peace knowing others care and You are watching over us. In Jesus name. Amen. When we are suffering, we dont have to suffer alone. We can turn to Jesus. Suffering for Jesus is a privilege and means we are working toward doing His will. We can always count on and turn to God when we are suffering. Praying and trusting in God will help us get through times of trouble. When we suffer, we can know other believers are ready to support and pray for us. 1 Corinthians 12:26 If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. (NLT) Focus: Suffering is a part of life. How we handle our suffering shows others our faith in God. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...log_id=6124090
