When I think of the word creek, I think of that old time religion, where people were taken down to the water to be baptized. I was baptized in church, not quite that old. My grandfather was a travelling minister. My father was the preacher's son, and I claimed myself as the preacher's son's daughter. One of the reasons that I called myself a Godly Heathen when I came into recovery. She married the town drunk's son, so it didn't make for much of a spiritual life. In recovery, I had to find my way back to my God, and renew myself with the Spirit of God and build a new relationship.

I had to go back to basics, open up my heart and eyes to how great and how big God was and how He revealed Himself to me.
