Default Emotional Stability

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty… — Psalm 91:1 (AMPC)

Emotional Stability by Joyce Meyer

Have you ever been happy and calm and then let someone else who is in a bad mood change you? Most people have, but we don’t have to be “most people.” Today, I am going to be with someone that I love, who is often given to temperament shifts. I know that it is important for me to be an example to this person and remain stable no matter what they do.

You might also be in a relationship with someone or work with someone who is moody and unstable. The best way to be prepared to deal with them properly is to spend time with God, receiving His strength. When we dwell in the secret place (God’s presence), we grow in stability.

Don’t let other people dictate your behavior. Why should you be in a bad mood just because someone else is? Stay happy and be an example of godly behavior to all those around you.

Prayer Starter: Father, help me remain emotionally stable at all times. Please help me not to let other people or my circumstances change me or bring me down, amen.
