Default 12 helpful tips for this holiday season

12 helpful tips for this holiday season.

1) Line up extra AA activities or other voluntary projects.

2) Help a Newcomer.

3) Make sure you have a list handy with telephone numbers at all times.

4) Find out about any extra holiday meetings and increase the number you attend. Many areas have round-the-clock meetings. Call your local AA hotline for holiday events in your area.

5) Don't feel obliged to go to any functions at all. If there is a likelihood of the presence of alcohol or that you will become stressed and uncomfortable - don't feel you have to go.

6) If you really can't avoid a function take an AA member with you

7) Don't project about things you fear. One Day At A Time. One Hour At A Time. One Minute At A Time

8) Call Your Sponsor!

9) Don't project about things you fear. One Day At A Time. One Hour At A Time. One Minute At A Time!

10) Feel no shame. Don't even consider embarrassment if you can't 'stay the distance' at a function, or see certain people, or afford gifts like the others. The one gift you can give yourself and others this Christmas is to stay sober, happy and healthy. This is the most precious one of all and once you have made it through - it will last to remind you all year to be grateful!

11) If you can't afford gifts - accept that as a fact and give the gift of time and your love.

12) Try to maintain an "Attitude of Gratitude". Writing a list of things

Don't Drink,

Go To Meetings,

Ask for Help!!!!!
