Default Silence!

“Silence!” by Lakisha J

It’s a new day and somebody got up dragging yesterday’s mess into the new mercies of today. Yea, you laid down fighting the enemy and then you got up still boxing. Well, I need to let you know the only reason you aren’t winning is because you’re fighting with the wrong stuff. Sometimes you need to stop fighting with words and hush. Yes, I get it … They hurt your feelings, they won’t support you, they won’t see your vision, they, they, they! Chile hush! Sometimes you need to just put your lips together and shut up. There are some things you just can’t do on your own. There are some situations you won’t be able to figure out and some tests you won’t have the ability to pass. And fighting won’t win it for you. This is why, every now and then you need to hush and stop fighting. If I can be truthful, you ought to be worn out and tired of fighting the same folk over the same situation. Be still!

Man/woman of God, sometimes you need to let prayer do what it does because if you could fix it yourself, you would have by now. The bible says in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” And when you don’t know what to pray, you need to let the power of the Holy Ghost do its thang for the bible says in Romans 8:26, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” You can’t do it alone because obviously what you’ve been doing isn’t working. I’ve told you before that when I get angry I tend to shut down. This is because I don’t like to argue but I’ve found something else out and that’s is, silence is a powerful thing. See, when you’re surrounded by silence you can really hear what you couldn’t hear when you were talking and/or yelling. When you’re silent you can, actually, gain a better understanding of what you’re actually dealing with. When it’s silent, you can hear the stillness of the air and it’ll be then you can realize the truth of Exodus 14:14 that says, “The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” Be quiet and let the Lord work!
