Default Holy Word

HOLY WORD

We all have read a book or two in the past. Most of us were required to read during school and stopped once we got out of school. Others of us love to read. There is one Book that is far greater than any other. There is one Book we should all read but shouldn’t be read as the other books are read. This Book is the Holy Bible. It is filled with stories about men and women of the past. It is filled with God’s instruction for us. It is a Book that will teach us how to live a holy life like God has called us to do.

Job 6:10 “At least I can take comfort in this: Despite the pain, I have not denied the words of the Holy One.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, in order for us to obey Your word, we have to know Your word. In order for us to take a stand for who You are, we have to know You. In order for us to know You, we have to know Your word. Your word is all we need to know how to live a holy life. You give us complete instructions and You tell us to draw close to You. Help us to remember to read, study and memorize Your word and strive to live a holy life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God set us apart to be holy and His word can help us learn more about how to do so.

When we live for God, we will want to know His word.

We can take comfort in God’s word knowing He wants only what is good for us.

God’s word can lead us to live a holy life.

God wants to teach us His way and He wants us to put our hope in Him.

Psalm 25:5 “Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.” (NLT)

Focus: Despite what we are going through, we can always trust in God and know His word is truth.
