Default God's Will In Our Lives

PRAY

If we want to know God’s will for our lives, we need to have a right relationship with Him. To have a right relationship with anyone, even God, it requires action our part. We have to take the initiative to get to know Him. We have to spend time talking with Him. We have to share with Him our issues and praise Him for all He has done. It is God’s will is for us to pray to Him. It is His will we pray for His will to be done. When we spend some private time with God, we will know what He wants us to do.

SCRIPTURE:
Matthew 6:6 “But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down when you spend alone time with God.
2. List the things you do when you are with Him.
3. Pray about a closer relationship with God.
4. Pray for Him to reveal His will for you and be ready to obey.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we come to You in prayer. You are so powerful and so great yet sometimes we just don’t realize it. If we really realized who You are, we would want to spend more time with You. Lord, help us to remember to spend time with You every day. Help us as we schedule our day to put You first. We know quiet time with You is what You want and what we need. We are so thankful You want a personal relationship with us. Help us to know what to do to make the first move. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
God is waiting on us to come to Him in prayer. He wants an intimate relationship with us.

When we go to God in prayer in private, He will appreciate and reward us.

If we want to know God’s will, we need to spend more quality time with Him.

God wants us to know He is ready and waiting on us to come to Him and pray.

We should pray for God’s will be to done and be ready to do what He calls us to do.

FOCUS: Matthew 6:10b “May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” (NLT)

Living for God means seeking, knowing and doing God’s will.
