Blessings Abound: Blessings From Abundance

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Why is it easier to lament the things we don’t have rather than praise God for the things we do have. The latter is the important list, and it’s so long that there’s not enough paper in the world to list all the items that make up the abundance of our blessings. The Bible says that God is abundant in mercy and abundant in kindness (Numbers 14:18; Nehemiah 9:17). He gives us an abundance of peace, and with Him is abundant redemption (Psalm 37:11; 130:7). He abundantly pardons (Isaiah 55:7).

Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Part of stewardship is keeping track of our blessings and counting them daily. Yes, we could also keep a ledger of things we don’t have; but why focus on that? “God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things , may have an abundance for every good work” (see 2 Corinthians 9:8).

I am able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you ask or think . Pondering My limitless ability to help you will strengthen your faith and encourage you to pray boldly.
