Defiance
The longer we go on the more defiant we become. This is our clue we are on the wrong path. It becomes impossible for us to have any joy in our life when we are constantly opposing everything. For some of us defiance became our battle cry; we felt like we had to fight for our right to keep on going the way we were going. Doing this is very exhausting and things only become worse and more difficult by us keeping up our defiance. Defiance also keeps us from being able to join recovery. It's after we choose to stop fighting everything, that's when we're able to start our recovery and find that joy that was missing from our life.
