Default Wait! Don't Make an Emotional Decision

Wait! Don't Make an Emotional Decision
One of the ways God leads us is by His peace. The Bible says peace is like an umpire that decides what is “safe” or what is “out.” If you don’t have peace about something, you can call an automatic “out.” On occasion, you may have a desire to do something, which can produce a false peace…a temporary feeling of excitement. But as time passes, this false peace makes way for God’s true peace to emerge. In the meantime, we can study God’s Word and pray. What do you need God’s help deciding today?

This Week's Scripture: And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. Colossians 3:15

Tip from Joyce: “Rather than thinking, What if I get this decision wrong?, choose to have confidence that you will get it right.” – Joyce Meyer

Study Suggestion: Making mistakes is part of life. And we can always learn from them! Let these scriptures help you put your worries to rest. Proverbs 24:16, Proverbs 3:5-6, Philippians 4:6-7, Hebrews 4:16

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
