Default Heart for the Lord Day 6

Heart for the Lord Day 6 by SGLY Ministry

CONTRITE HEART
“a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.” Psalm 51:17 (KJV)

Today’s Thought:
A Contrite Heart is a repentant heart.
It is a heart that shows deep sorrow for having done wrong. This heart the Lord will not refuse or reject. This heart the Lord will forgive, cleanse, bless and revive.
May our Prayer of the Heart today be for a Contrite Heart.

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Isaiah 57:15 [NKJV]

“He that dwells in the highest heavens dwells in the lowest hearts and inhabits sincerity as surely as he inhabits eternity.”–Matthew Henry-Commentary on Isaiah 57:15

Prayer of the Heart to the Lord:
Dear Lord, today I ask that You create in me a Contrite Heart.

A heart that is truly repentant for any wrong it has done.
A heart that is sensitive to wrong and quick to repent.
A heart that You, the High and Lofty One, will accept and revive. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
