Default The steadfast love of God

The steadfast love of God by Alive to God

In the Bible we see how God tells us that He is steadfast. Not only is God steadfast but He is also steadfast in a very particular aspect. It is the aspect of His love. God’s love for us is steadfast.

Exodus 34:5-6 “I am Jehovah, the merciful and gracious God,” he said, “slow to anger and rich in steadfast love and truth.

In almost all the occurrences in the Bible where it describes God as steadfast it is referring to His love. God’s love can be totally depended on because it is firm, not subject to change and it is consistent.

God’s love for each one of us is consistent. It is a given and a fixed fact. God’s love does not come and go. We cannot remove God’s love and we cannot escape God’s love. No matter where we go or where we may find ourselves, God’s love is there reaching out to us.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are—high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean—nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
