Default Don’t give the devil a foothold

Don’t give the devil a foothold by Alive to God

Overcome! Don't give the devil a foothold

How often people fall into this trap. Due to a host of different reasons the opportunity arises to give the devil a foothold in our lives. We need to learn to identify this when it begins to take place. That will give us the opportunity to deal with it and know the freedom that God has made available to each of us. Perhaps you have already fallen into this trap. There is hope! Once we have identified this problem, we can take action and take back the ground that we may have lost. Don’t give the devil a foothold in your life!

THE CHALLENGE

The challenge we all face is a constant onslaught from the devil. In the process his goal is to seek out and destroy our lives. He does this in many different ways. There is this constant attack.

John 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy.

The thief has no good intentions. His intentions are to steal, kill and destroy. It could be through a bad habit, a wrong decision, sin and even just simple discouragement.

1 Peter 5:8 Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart.

There are many other ways in which this can take place and in the process we give the devil a foothold in our lives. Once a foothold is in place the battle is intensified. What we need to do is not allow that foothold in our lives to be established.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
