Default Jesus' Suffering

JESUS' SUFFERING

We have all had times where we felt like we were suffering like no one else ever has. We have had health issues. We have had relationship problems. We have had career or financial situations where we just couldn't see a way out. However, no one has ever suffered as Jesus did. The reason for His suffering was for us. Jesus suffered because of our sin...He paid the ultimate price. No one has suffered as He did.

Hebrews 2:10b "And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation." (NLT)

Dear Lord, we thank You for Jesus. We thank You for sending Your perfect Son to come to earth and live as a man. We realize He paid the ultimate price. We realized His suffering was like no others. We realize His suffering was for nothing He did. It was for us. And in His suffering, He continued to trust in You. Help us to remember that no matter what we are going through, Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins. And we should trust in You just as He did when we are going through suffering here on earth. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Jesus set the path for us to follow when we are suffering. We can learn from His example.

Jesus is our perfect leader and because of His suffering we are saved.

No one has or ever will pay the price Jesus paid when He died on the cross.

We know we can continue to trust in God through our suffering and follow Jesus' example.

We know we can continue to do good even if it means suffering.

1 Peter 2:21 "For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps." (NLT)

Focus: Jesus is our example of what to do when we are suffering.
