On The Job
On the job there are different types of people. We have different backgrounds, different attitudes, and different beliefs. Some of us work hard all day wanting to do the right thing. Some of us do what we have to do to get by. Sometimes we get frustrated with those who do very little work but still continue to draw a paycheck. However, we have to remember despite our differences we are all working for the Lord. In the end the reward is not our paycheck but it is the blessings we receive by doing the right thing and bringing glory to God in our work despite what others are doing around us. 1 Corinthians 10:31 “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (NLT) Dear Lord, thank You for the work You give us to do. Thank You for the people You put in our lives. Thank You for the opportunities we have to work for You. Help us remember to work willingly at what we do and take opportunities to share Your word with others. Help us to be bold and let others know You are the reason we have a job and we are able to work. We want to give You the glory in our work, in our rest time and in our play time. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Whether we are working, resting or having fun, we need to do all things for the glory of God. At work, we sometimes get distracted with the tasks and forget to focus on God and what He wants us to do. When we are busy working, we sometimes forget about the relationships God wants us to build with our co-workers. When we are upset about what others are doing or not doing on the job, we can’t focus on what God wants us to do. We are to work willing at whatever we do and give God the glory in all we do. Colossians 3:23 “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” (NLT) Focus: At work or at anything we do, we should do it willingly for the Lord and give Him all the glory. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...log_id=5956764
