Default Topic of the Week, Words that begin with the letter "N"

N is for New. If you are a newcomer or just new to the site, we welcome you. There is a lot of recovery material here and if you don't find what you are looking for, never fear asking for what you need.

Newcomers are important to us. You carry a great message to us, so please feel free to share with us. Without you, there is no us.

N is for Now. Now is the time. Now is all I have. Now is the time to make the decision. Now is the time to take the next step. Now is the time to let go and let God. Now is the time to take charge of your life, quit giving up your power, and be who you are in the NOW!

N is for Nice. Play "nice" and don't let those old character defects act out in today. Take them to your Higher Power and have them taken from you and have a renewal of body, mind, and spirit. The person in today is a nicer person than the one prior to recovery.

N is for Never. They say,"Never say never." I "never" did that. I would "never" do that, only to find ourselves doing that and more. If you haven't found yourself doing that 'yet' then continue using and you will find yourself doing 'it' and your 'never' will happen before you know it. It is a progressive disease.

N is for "No!" It is a complete sentence. You don't have to give an explanation, you don't have to justify, or give a definitive answer as to why you are saying, "No!"

N is for New. Each day is a new beginning. If I look at each day, and look at that day, through the eyes of a newcomer, I will stay grounded in today, and know that I don't have to use, just for today.
