God either is or He is not!

This reminds me of the phrase, “Are you an alcoholic?” “I think I might be just a little bit.” The both statements are the same as saying I think I am a little bit pregnant. Either you are or you are not. I had to find my own truth, and although I was in denial, there was something within me that kept me coming to the rooms of recovery for two years until I had reach total acceptance, and I know it wasn’t me.

When I looked back over my life, some force was working in my life keeping me alive and to the doors of recovery, because I qualified twenty years before I got here. Some are sicker than others. When I took an honest look at my life I realized God didn’t go away, I did!

God works in my life today. He utilizes people, places and things to show me a better way of living and to help me in my journey.

He is for sure,
others call the spirit by many different names some who I have met call it mother nature,
I call him father.
People really get caught up in the doctrine of religion and lose sight of true spirituality.
Spirituality and religion are two different things that intertwine.
Religion is the study of doctrines which were written by humans.
Spirituality is a gift.
You find it when you accept that you are not the center of the universe and become part of.

Was looking through some old posts. Hard to believe that this was written five years ago.

God still is in my life. With the pain and health issues in my life today, I would have been long gone if it wasn't for God in my life. I see so many people with the same issues who are on heavy medication and totally isolated and into self and I want to tell them, get a 12 Step Program. You know me you qualify, even if you feel you don't qualify as an alcoholic or an addict.

It doesn`t matter what recovery room you put me in, I belong. The program is still working in my life, another 5 years later.

That is what I call a God thing. Every five years, this message came into my life.

God still is. Over the years, I have had a deeper understanding. I grew up knowing that Jesus loves me. I just didn`t know how much and to what extent that Love went.

Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. Romans 14:13



THOUGHT:
It is so easy to be judgmental of others. We don't know their struggles. We don't know their situation. Most of all, we don't know their hearts. When we are judgmental, we erect a barrier between others and ourselves. We often spread that judgmental impression to others in gossip. Our stubbornness to only view them with a judgmental spirit erects a barrier, a stumbling block, which can cause them to become discouraged and stumble.


PRAYER:
Father, please be with my attitude toward others. Help me be more patient with the failures of others, just as You are patient with mine. Forgive me for not being more of an encouragement to those who are weak and struggling. Forgive me for sometimes being a hindrance to others. Please use me to be a blessing. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Free my Spirit so that I am not caged and have the freedom of recovery.
