When I was new to recovery I was told that the only ones that this program doesn't work are people who don't try it enough so that it can, and it will always work for those of us who do. As hard as it was for me to begin to do any of the suggestions that I was hearing to do when slowly I did, I got different results then I was used to getting, and I wanted more. This is how it all started for me being in recovery. The principles in recovery were opposite to the way I was living my life and even though I had no desire to do them any of them, or even thought it would be a good for me if I did, I can't deny what happened to me when I finally did try to do some of them, it changed me and I immediately wanted more of the same thing for myself. I became infected with recovery by doing the things that were suggested that I do. And after that I have never looked back because it's been good for me to do these things and for me to live by these principles.
