All of us have lost our credibility with ourselves, and with everyone else who is around us, before we get to recovery. In time this happens to all of us, and takes us all a long time to rebuild once we're in recovery. This fooling of oneself is so evident to all who are around us, and no matter how hard any of us tries to believe that we were fooling everyone, the only person we're fooling is ourselves. For all of us when we stop being able to do this any longer fooling ourselves, is when we all find ourselves in trouble that none of us knew anything about, or how we could get ourselves out of this trouble. This is where recovery can help all of us, but only works to do this, if we decide we want to be in it. Then we can learn how to begin to stop fooling ourselves. All of us need to be certain of one thing before any of us can begin to do this, and that is we are fooling no one only ourselves, and in time anyone who has anything to do with us will leave us, because no one can stand to be around us or will want to have anything to do with us, because of how sick it is to watch us as we all tried to pretend we were fooling everybody.
