Default Our Comfort Zone

With this problem over time we all have run out of options and we get backed into a corner because all of us believe that there's nothing any of us can do about the way we are. Up to this point everything we've tried has failed us at being able to work in doing anything about the way we are. Believe it or not this is actually a good thing when this has happened for all of us, because as long as we believe that there's something else out there that can do for us what recovery can do for us, then for just that long none of us will be able to get recovery. This is it, this is the last stop, there is nothing else out there for any of us that has proved it can work for all of us, we've all been trying everything, nothing works. Now and only now are we ready for recovery, and even then it's going to take everything we got, to get it, and all of us are going to need to get out of our comfort zone to do this, and one thing that helps all of us is to know that recovery is the one thing that has proven it does work for all of us.

It wasn't until I got out of my comfort zone and did the brave thing and attended my first AA meeting that i began my journey of recovery. I am grateful today
