Today most of us come into recovery before we're ready for it, and that's too bad because what's getting all of us to recovery nearly kills all of us, but that in itself is not what the real problem is for all of us, it is something else. There are very few of us who show up at recovery and have an idea of what the real problem is that all of us have in common. We all can find out about this when we're ready to and we'll know when we're ready to as soon as we start to understand that we really don't know what's wrong with us, that our problem is not what most of us think it is. If we're not able to understand this then we're not ready for recovery. For as long as we keep telling ourselves what the problem is, for just that long none of us will be able to get recovery because we really don't know and if we did we won't be here in recovery. It's when we realize this we then become teachable and ready to find out all about what the real problem is. Then and only then will we be able to do something about what's really wrong with all of us.
