Our problem forms in lots of different ways, and for all of us this is different how this happens. Below the surface and before any of us knew it this was going on. Our problem is not the results we were all getting as we tried to figure out how to live with it. The problem itself none of us can see for ourselves, that's why it's so hard to help ourselves, because we really don't see what the problem is. We may think we do, but we don't. All of us when we first saw the steps to recovery usually think what do these have to do with my problem. That in itself goes a long way in showing that we don't really have any idea of what our problem is, and therefore won't be able to solve it on our own, because we don't even know what it is. We can sit people down and tell them exactly what the problem is and they usually won't believe it. The only way for any of us to be able to see our problem is to see it in someone else, who we have identified with, and who is willing to show us.
