There are two times for all of us when it comes to having this problem; there's the time when none of us knew we had it, and then comes the time when we all know we did. Most of us who have reached recovery, know, or suspect at least that we might have it, by the time we get here. To know we have it, and to be willing to do something about having it, are two different things. None of us like having this problem, and like even less that we have got to do something about having it. What we don't know is after we know we have this problem it becomes much harder to live with then it was before we knew. All of us who are just coming to find out we have this problem don't know this, but we will all come to know this to be true. We all thought by knowing what the problem is it would make things better for us because we now know. Nothing could be further from the truth for us when we think like this. Lots of us know we have this problem, but things only get worse unless we're willing to do something about having it. Then and only then will things get better for us. It's not enough just knowing we have it.
