Our problem is never one that's easy to look upon, not for us, not for any one of those about us. Make no mistake about it, when it is seen it is the time for us to take action, and for all who can see it to take action as well. It's unfortunate though that because of how unpleasant it is to see our problem when it is seen, we tend to react accordingly, and that's not usually very helpful to anyone. What helps us is to know that what we're seeing is the result of an illness. This will allow us to react in the way that's helpful for us, and for those about us to be helpful to us. Most of the time our problem lives in the dark by design. That's what allows for it to continue, but in time it becomes too hard to keep in the dark. It is then exposed for all to see. When this happens it's crucial that we receive the love and support that we need in a loving caring way. Anything else tends to encourage our problem to go back into the darkness where it usually stays with us, until it ends us.
