If any of us had to get recovery the way someone else had to, none of us would ever get it. We all compare out at the beginning of recovery as a means to identify. This can be helpful as long as we remember that we're no longer running the show. When people get recovery, or how they get it, is different amongst us and there's no need for this to be similar. All that matters is that we are all here now in recovery. Each of us has had our own equine experiences that have led to us being here. These differences allow for the most amount of us to be able to be included in recovery. We all gain by allowing for these differences. It also proves to us that something else is running the show, not us. Our part in all this is to just accept there are different ways for us to get recovery and that's okay.
