Repent
Sometimes we take repentance lightly. We may see a person on the street with the word “repent” on a sign and just drive on by. We may hear the word “repent” in a Bible verse and think that is meant for someone else. We may think “repent” is meant for those who are not yet believers and not meant for those who are already born again. However, repenting is turning away from our sins. We all sin. Both believers and non-believers. And every day we should repent and turn from sin so we can live in true fellowship with God and other believers. Acts 3:19 “Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.” (NLT) Dear Lord, please reveal to us any sin in our lives. We know we sometimes can’t see the wrong we are doing because we are ignoring it. We sometimes overlook our own wrongdoing because are busy looking at the wrongdoing of others. We know Your instructions are for us and when You tell us to repent, we should. Reveal to us what we are doing wrong and help us to turn from it and focus on living for You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen. It’s time we recognized the wrongdoing in our lives and repented. Every day we should start new by turning from our sins and repenting to God. We sometimes overlook our own wrongdoing because are busy looking at the wrongdoing of others. Our sins can be wiped away and forgiven when we go to God and repent. If we take our sins too lightly, they will destroy us. Ezekiel 18:30b “Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you!” (NLT) Focus: Ask God to reveal any sin in your life and repent today. He will help you start a new life. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...log_id=5942154
