Default A Gentle Answer

A GENTLE ANSWER

There are some people who we believe are beyond help. They are abusive. They are brash. They are nosey. They are stubborn and set in their ways. However, no matter how far gone we believe them to be, it is not up to us to decide if they are past God’s reach. It is never too late to share a kind word, to show love or to help someone. No matter how far gone we believe a person to be, it is never too late to show them the gentleness God intended for us to show to others.

Proverbs 15:1 “A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us not to give up on others. Help us not to judge others. Help us to continue to show kindness and love to them. You tell us with a gentle word, we can deflect anger. You tell us gentle words are a tree of life. You tell us we should be gentle just as You are gentle. Show us today how to be more gentle to those who are hard to communicate with. We trust You to show us the way. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we put aside our feelings for others, we can allow God’s gentleness to work through us.

Showing gentleness to those who do not show gentleness back is what God has called us to do.

We are not to judge others by their words or actions. We are called to speak gently to all people.

No matter how far gone we believe a person to be, it is never too late to show them the gentleness

When we decide to be gentle with everyone – even those who are hard to communicate with – God will use our words to help them.

Proverbs 15:4 “Gentle words are a tree of life; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.” (NLT)

Focus: God can help us be gentle to even the people who are the hardest to talk to. Focus on Him and He will help!

Firmly believe that people, places and things are all good or all bad. There is good to be found in everyone. A situation may have been the worst experience in your life, but it was a loss if you learned from it.
