Who's Number One?
WHO'S NUMBER ONE?
In the south, football is always exciting. The teams play each week and we predict who we think will be number one. Some of us differ in opinions. Some of us get upset. We have our favorite team who we want to be number one but we have to remember everyone can't be number one. In real life, we need to think about who or what we put as number one. Where is our focus all the time? Is it on us? Is it on someone else? Or is it on God? When we put God as number one in our lives, we all come out winners. Matthew 6:33 "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." (NLT) Dear Lord, thank You for Your promises that tell us when we seek You first, You will give us all we need. We know there is victory in our lives when we stay focused on You. We sometimes forget about You because we get wrapped up in our world and the things we have. Help us to remember to put You first daily and live to obey You and share Your word with others. In Jesus' name. Amen. When we put God first in our lives, we will be victorious. God wants a close relationship with us and wants to be number one in our lives. Without God first in our lives, we will succumb to the things of the world. 1 John 2:15b "If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." (NLT) If we want victory in our lives, God must become a greater part of it. John 3:30 "He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less." (NLT) Focus: When we love God and want to honor and obey Him, we will put Him first in our lives. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...log_id=6178078
