Default The Indisputable One

The Indisputable One

Isaiah 14:24 and 27: “The Lord Almighty has sworn, ‘Surely, as I have planned, so it will be.’ For the Lord…has purposed, and who can thwart him?”

God is sovereign. All that God does is right and fair. He will have the final word. You and I need not hold life (yours, mine or ours) so tightly, because God carries life and all that is. Although we live in the midst of a chaotic and pressurized world, the Lord Almighty surpasses the chaos and pressure. All time and eternity belong to him. When we attempt to go beyond human limitations and be bigger than big, we play God. However, since we are not sovereign, it is merely game-playing.

God has supreme power, authority, and creativity. Out of his vast resources God lovingly gives us the ability to reason, choose, plan, and implement those plans. In this reality we can relax, trusting him to help us make wise decisions and live balanced lives. What is privilege it is to cooperate with the Indisputable One.

Lord, you created me,
I did not create you.
You sustain me,
I do not sustain my world.
How grateful I am to be sharing life with you,
now and forever.

Joan C. Webb

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
