Default Enjoy the benefits of “thanksgiving” all year long

Bless the LORD, O, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

--Psalm 103:2

So, how can you enjoy the benefits of “thanksgiving” all year long? It starts with control over your thought life. You’ve got to give thanks in your thoughts!

Let me share a few practical ways you can infuse an attitude of praise into your daily life.

First, count your blessings, starting with your salvation. Really think about the sacrifice and love of Jesus on the cross and what it means for you personally. Where would you be without that grace? Also, consider the family and friends God has placed around you.

Remind yourself daily that God loves you with an everlasting love. He provides healing, provision, protection, and the many blessings you wake up to each day.

Encourage yourself by thinking about God’s plan for your life. Think about the divine purpose He has planned for you. Rejoice in how far you’ve come!

And finally, fill your mind with Scripture. Sing your favorite hymns throughout the day. Write out Scripture verses to keep in your wallet, your purse, your car, and your lunch.

As you celebrate Thanksgiving today, I want to challenge you to keep giving thanks in your heart and mind long after the last leftovers are gone.

Fill your mind with thoughts of God’s blessings and promises every day and your life will be transformed!

Think about what you think about. Does it include being thankful?
