Default Courage at Home

COURAGE AT HOME

There are instances and opportunities in life where we are able to praise and honor God. Some of us get very bold at work and speak out for Jesus. Others of us show our love and devotion to Him in church during worship. However, one very important place where we need to be sure we are praising God is at home. Our family should see Jesus in us every day. Our walk with Him should be evident to them and we should be the example He calls us to be. We should have the courage at home to speak out for God and lead our family to know Jesus as we do.

Joshua 24:15b “But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us today. Help us to be bold and have courage in our homes to speak out for You. Help us to do the right things which lead our families to know You better and to desire to follow and worship You. Sometimes we get caught up in personalities and attitudes and we want to take control but the way we do things is not as You would want us to do. Help us to be courageous godly leaders beginning today in our homes. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Courage to follow Jesus should be seen at home just as it is seen in the church.

When we decide to lead the godly example God wants us to lead in our own homes, we will see God’s work begin.

Our home and family is where we should begin to lead a godly example.

Showing God’s love in our own homes is what we are called to do.

We should have courage to show unconditional godly love to our family – no matter what they have done.

Luke 15:20 “So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.” (NLT)

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
