Today’s Scripture: I Corinthians 1:4 (NLT): I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus.

Today’s Thought: It is important to have thankful heart. God has given us so much to be thankful for. The Lord has also put people in each one of our lives for us to be thankful for. These people are often there to help us grow in our walk with God. Today let’s show them how much we are thankful for them.

their righteousness endures forever.”

Mark 4:35-40 — That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"
__________________________

The disciples panicked because the storm threatened to destroy them all, and Jesus seemed unaware and unconcerned. Theirs was a physical storm, but storms come in other forms. Think about the storms in your life — the situations that cause you great anxiety. Whatever your difficulty, you have two options: you can worry and assume that Jesus no longer cares, or you can resist fear, putting your trust in him. When you feel like panicking, confess your need for God and then trust him to care for you.

Matthew 5:43-48 — "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Luke 11:33-36 — "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you."

Today’s Scripture: I Corinthians 1:11-13 (NLT): For some members of Chloe’s household have told me about your quarrels, my dear brothers and sisters. Some of you are saying, “I am a follower of Paul.” Others are saying, “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Peter,” or “I follow only Christ.” Has Christ been divided into factions? Today’s Thought: It is important to remember who we follow. We do not follow a man but we follow the One true God.

Today’s Scripture: I Corinthians 2:13 (NLT): When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.

Today’s Thought: When you do not know what to say, God always knows! This is why we must be in tune with His Spirit. If you ask Him to guide and lead you in what to say, guess what, He will!

Today’s Prayer: Lord, I pray that You guide and lead me as I talk to people today. Give me the words to say that will show them how much You love them. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

Today’s Scripture: I Corinthians 2:15-16 (NLT): Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

Today’s Thought: The God of the universe wants to reveal His heart to each one of us. Wow! What a thought! When we become a Christian Jesus renews our minds. However, the renewal of the mind is a process that will take years or it might not ever be fully renewed because we have a sin nature. We must do whatever we can to renew our minds. Praying, spending time with the Lord, worshiping Him always helps us renew our minds.

Today’s Prayer: Lord, I pray that You renew my mind daily. Help me think upon You as I go about my day today. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

Psalm 121:1-7 —

I lift up my eyes to the mountains —
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip —

indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you —
the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm —
he will watch over your life...

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Today’s Scripture: I Corinthians 3:4-6 (NLT): When one of you says, “I am a follower of Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you acting just like people of the world? After all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us. I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.

Today’s Thought: We are all in this together. When you share the gospel with someone but they do not get saved, it does not mean that you failed. The Lord has a plan in mind. You might sow a seed and someone else reap the harvest. That does not mean you did not have a vital role in that person’s salvation.

Today’s Prayer: Lord, I pray that You help me share Your love with people I work with or run into today. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Today’s Scripture: I Corinthians 3:7-9 (NLT): It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.

Today’s Thought: We all play a vital role in the Kingdom of God. Just because you do not lead everyone you witness to the Lord, does not mean you did not do your part.

1 Corinthians 13:8-13

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
