Small Straws In A Soft Wind - March
March 1: Put your trust in Me to bring you through even the most harrowing of experiences. Find a place of peace in your heart where your faith is strong, and do not be afraid. I am with you and will never forsake you, says the Lord. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
March 2: For those of you who feel like you are walking through thick fog, this is a temporary condition. Let Me lead you through when you cannot see beyond where you are now. You belong to Me. Do not be afraid. Soon the fog will lift, and you will begin to see clearly, says the Lord. This is a time to trust Me like never before. Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.
March 3: The things you have been worried about are in process of coming to a conclusion, soon to become a part of the past. You have been diligent to do what you know to do and to keep the faith, and your patience will be rewarded. Stay strong. Isaiah 43:18-19 Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
March 4: I come before you, Lord, with thanksgiving in my heart. I enter your presence with praise. Forgive me for all doubt and unbelief instead of having strong faith and hope. I ask Your forgiveness for any mistreatment of others whether actually or in my thoughts of contempt. Establish me in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Draw me closer to You and renew an upright heart within me. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. Psalm 51:10-12 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
March 5: Guard your heart, and refuse to allow things of the world to interfere with your spiritual wellbeing. Stay focused and keep your relationship with Me your number one priority. The enemy would love to get you to compromise your spiritual integrity. Do not allow anything or anyone to come between us, says the Lord. Philippians 4:5-7 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
March 6: With just a little effort you have turned the page from the past to the present and opened the door to the future. This is a new day in which to excel, a day when you can make a difference in your life that will affect everyone around you. Go forward with renewed hope and purpose, says the Lord. Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
March 7: So you got your feelings hurt, and you feel like you need to justify your position. That would be a foolish errand. You have nothing to prove to anyone. You are a child of God and a servant of the Most High. Trying to explain yourself will only make things worse. Let it go. Your justification will be from on high. Romans 5:1-4 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character, and character hope.
March 8: For those who have been in a time of turmoil and difficulties, put the past behind you and move on. The days ahead will be better as you press toward the mark of your high calling in Christ. There is a plan and a purpose for you to achieve, but you must rise above the dead ashes of the past, says the Lord. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
March 9: You have been through a distressing time, but you must position yourself to move on. You cannot do anything about the past, but you can embrace My will and purposes for your future. Go forth with open mind and heart. You have learned some valuable lessons that enhanced your wisdom with regard to your ability to handle challenges in the days ahead by trusting Me, says the Lord. Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
March 11: You are beginning to move into a season of greater clarity where your mind is clearer and your mission more distinct. The clouds of confusion will lift to let in more light and understanding. You will have a better grasp of who you are and where you are going, says the Lord. Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
March 12: The turmoil of the past few months is being sorted out, and normalcy is beginning to come back into your life. I have not changed, says the Lord, and who you are has not changed, but you have been impacted by the circumstances and unrest around you. Take the time you need to be restored and renewed both physically and mentally. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
March 13: Stop and examine how much you have grown spiritually in these past few months, and continue to establish divine order in where you are and what you do. Do the best you can and I will fill in the gaps, says the Lord. I will continue to go before you to make the crooked places straight. Isaiah 45:2-3 I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.
March 14: Refuse to allow someone else to draw you into their fight. It will move you out of your place of peace and stability. Staying in the flow of the Spirit requires a clean heart and an upright spirit. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
March 15: You have been unusually sensitive, which can be good or it can cause you problems. You need to strike a balance so that you do not go off the rails. Quiet your soul and let Me be your guide. If you come to Me, I will keep you in check and in a place of safety, says the Lord. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
March 16: Quiet your soul and let go of all stress. Access the substance of peace to overcome the pressure of the spiritual weapon formed against you of fear and trepidation. Remember that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and access the peace of God. Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
March 17: Do not throw the proverbial baby out with the bath water when you realize you are slightly off course. All you need to do is make small adjustments to get back into the flow of the Spirit. You tend to overreact to the realization that what you have done was not perfect. Proverbs 10:17 He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray.
March 18: Begin your day with the wonder of the presence of God--another day in which to carry out His wishes with everything that is within you. What a mighty God we serve! What opportunities before you to exhibit His love and mercy and to share His unfathomable bounty of love! John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
March 19: These are unsettling times, but you do not have to succumb to what is going on around you. Rise above the natural realm into the realm of the Spirit where you can find peace and safety. Let Me be your guiding light and your safe haven in stormy times. I am your Redeemer. Put your trust in Me, says the Lord. Job 19:25-27 For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
March 20: Life consists of a series of setbacks and breakthroughs, but in this season you will be able to make more progress through a better understanding of what you can do. It is especially important to keep a positive attitude. You are beginning to break through the stubbornness of your own flesh, which is the most difficult of obstacles. Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
March 21: Do the best you can with where you are and what you have, and I will do the rest. You can count on Me to bring you through unsettling times to gain the victory over all that has become a challenge to you. You belong to Me, and I take care of My own, says the Lord. Put your faith and trust in Me. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
March 22: Be grateful for the things that really matter, and refuse to fuss about things of little or no consequence. This is a day in which you can go beyond flesh issues to actually excel spiritually. Leave the past behind and press toward the mark of your high calling in Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
March 23: You must exhibit honesty and integrity in all you say and do. When you profess the saving grace of Christ and do not live up to the Gospel, you are not a credible witness. It is not enough to be a hearer of the word of truth; you must also be a doer, says the Lord. James 1:23-25 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in all he does.
March 24: Shut out the noise of the world and current circumstances, and listen for My still small voice. Put away all doubt and fear and enter My presence with thanksgiving in your heart. I will speak clearly when you quiet your soul. Never doubt My ability to direct your path and show you the way, says the Lord. James 1:5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
March 25: When someone disrespects you, do not retaliate. Forgive! If you do not forgive them you will not be forgiven. As hard as it might seem, you have to be the better, kinder person if you are to receive the blessing. Live your life above reproach, and you will be rewarded, says the Lord. Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
March 26: Beloved, you are not a victim. You are victorious in all things when you rely on Me for direction and guidance. When you become one with Me, there is nothing that can overrule or take you down. I am with you and in you. I am your very present help in trouble, says the Lord. Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.
March 27: Breakthrough is imminent. You have come a long way and have patiently waited for an opportunity to move ahead, and now is the time when the proverbial fog will clear and the sun will break through the clouds. You can now forge ahead with clarity of mind and renewed strength. A new day is dawning, says the Lord. Psalm 42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.
March 28: Stop and take time to appreciate how far you have come. It has been a battle, but you have persevered. You may not realize your progress yet, but you have progressed nonetheless. Savor every moment of victory regardless of how small, knowing that I have brought you this far, says the Lord, and I am with you always. Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
March 29: If you will set your mind to understand what is happening in the spirit realm, you will discover clarity and strength of purpose. Everything will seem to have been simplified as opposed to the past few months of struggling to break through. Enjoy this season of purity, says the Lord. 2 Samuel 22:33 God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect.
March 30: It is a foolish errand to be angry with God. Anger against the Lord is like rolling in the mud and then being angry about getting dirty. All we have to do is take responsibility for our own mess, and line up with the Word of God. Ephesians 4:26 Be angry, and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath.
March 31; When you get overwhelmed with life and circumstances, take a breath. Seek My face, says the Lord. I am greater than any condemnation. I will lead you out of the darkness into the light of life and liberate you from reproach. I am your strength and your shield. Lean on Me. Psalm 61:1-2 Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
